My name is Jem Winston, I built and ran 3 Rivers Eco Lodge and own and manage Rosalie Forest Eco Lodge and The Sustainable Living Education Centre, in Dominica, in the Caribbean.
I first discovered Dominica in 1990, when I was backpacking the Caribbean, and fell in love with the place instantly. I dreamt that one day I would return and build a sustainable ecotourism business in Dominica.
In 2002, I returned to build 3 Rivers Eco Lodge, and then Rosalie Forest Eco Lodge. My aim was to create what I would have liked to find when I was on the road; a small, friendly, sustainable ecotourism Lodge in Dominica, surrounded by natural beauty, where anyone, on any budget, would feel comfortable.
Today, as well as running the eco lodge, I offer a wide range of services, including:
- Renewable energy installations - site assesments, detailed equipment proposal, installations, maintenance contract.
- Guest Speaker Services - for anyone wishing to learn environmental best practices for their ecolodge or hotel, home, college, or anywhere.
- Eco education - renewable energy and organic farming workshops, for locals, touriss and anyone else who want to know how.
- Web site Hosting /Development . I offer web hosting and developement seervices, and, have a number of high ranking travel websites for those wishing to advertise
